Giving back is at the heart
of everything we do.
At CREI Holdings, we work hard every day to do our part in overcoming Florida’s affordable and workforce housing challenges.
More than a decade ago, our Managing Member Raul F. Rodriguez created the non-profit Li’l Abner Foundation. Its purpose is to give local youth the chance to enroll in academic and extracurricular programs that enhance their development as productive members of the community.
Based on its success and popular acceptance, a second community center is currently being planned.
Neighbors helping neighbors.
Today, the Foundation offers children a wide range of programs in such areas as academic tutoring, dance, Taekwondo, archery and wrestling.
In addition, every year the Foundation takes 16 medically fragile children for their first visit to Disney World. This “Disney on Wheels” event has a lasting impact on these kids that frankly can’t be measured.
Another outreach event is the annual “Thanksgiving Bash,” which has served more than 16,000 meals to local families in need and gifted over 5,000 holiday toys to local kids.
The Foundation also provides a variety of scholastic programs, including scholarships for children to attend Belen Jesuit Preparatory School as well as scholarships for adults to attend Florida International University and earn a degree.
